Through SDC's new membership program, membership contributions go into our Community Impact Fund, a community-driven initiative designed to support local projects, improvements, and ideas that make Skagway an even better place to live, work, and do business.

Best of all, SDC members will have a voice in deciding how these funds are reinvested back into our community each year.

For our inaugural year, 100% of SDC membership and sponsorship contributions will go directly into our new Community Impact Fund!

This fund is designed to bring local businesses, organizations, and residents together to invest in meaningful projects that benefit Skagway.

At the end of the 2027 year, SDC members will have the opportunity to help decide how these funds are reinvested into our community.

From downtown beautification and public improvements to creative programs that support local residents, the possibilities are endless!

SDC's Community Impact Fund is built on a simple idea: when local businesses, organizations, and individuals come together, even small contributions can create meaningful change.

More benches and flower boxes downtown
Youth employment opportunities, such as helping seniors with snow removal

Creative community ideas brought forward by SDC members

Membership Levels

Whether you’re an individual, business, or organization, your membership helps support local ideas, strengthen our economy, and keep community-driven programs going.

Individual Member — $50/year
- A simple way for community members to support SDC's work, stay informed, and help strengthen Skagway's economy.
Nonprofit Member — $100/year
- Designed for nonprofit organizations seeking access to resources, networking opportunities, and increased visibility for their programs and services.
Business Member — $200/year
- For local businesses, entrepreneurs, and startups who want to be engaged, visible, and connected. Includes promotional opportunities, networking events, and access to business support resources.

Sponsorship Levels

Build Sponsor — $500/year
- Provides additional support for SDC's economic and community development efforts while receiving enhanced recognition through SDC programs and events.
Support Sponsor — $1,000/year
- For organizations and businesses making a significant investment in Skagway's future. Includes prominent recognition and opportunities to demonstrate your commitment to local economic and community development.
Grow Sponsor — $1,500+/year
- For major employers, corporations, government agencies, and organizations seeking to play a leadership role in supporting economic growth and community vitality in Skagway. Includes premier recognition and partnership opportunities throughout the year.
